Systems Administration, Associate

Responsibilities

Peraton is adding a Systems Administrator. This position will handle a variety of responsibilities including: configuring, monitoring and maintaining Red Hat Linux operating systems in a dynamic, virtualized environment. A successful candidate will ensure that all servers operate at optimum levels. This person should have in-depth technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the design and scope of deliverables within a field of expertise. The qualified candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment and willing to work flexible hours. On-call and after hours support is a requirement of this position.

What you will do:

• Handling Data Center Operations with Business & Mission Critical applications
• Handling escalated incidents or high critical tickets
• Predicting Risk/Impact and Participating in Major Changes
• Reporting, Performance and Capacity Planning
• Able to work with Vendors and Developers to implement application requirements
• Technical Transition & Documentation skills
• Design, Migration and upgrading of existing infrastructure

Qualifications

0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Ability to work on call or overtime 
• Comptia Security+ certification preferred

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
