The Team:

This role will work as part of the Outpatients Clinics team at the Northwest Regional Hospital. 

The Outpatient Department at the Northwest Regional Hospital has 14 consulting rooms. We offer general medical, surgical, gynaecology, orthopaedic, respiratory, paediatric, stomal therapy, cardiology, cardiac rehab, neurology, neurosurgical, dermatology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, nephrology, staff health and various procedure clinics and nurse led clinics.  

The team consists of administrative staff, nursing (EN and RN), graduate nurses, CNCs, Nurse Practitioner, and technicians. The environment is fast paced, ever changing and requires excellent time management skills on all levels.

The Role:

• Provide and maintain a high standard of customer focused clerical, administrative and reception services.
• Manage and maintain patient waitlists for speciality services.
• Maintain confidentiality and work according to all Agency policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure all information management systems are maintained and processes conducted in accordance with the relevant guidelines and protocols of the Agency.

You will need:

• To adapt to change regularly.
• To work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• To deliver holistic care to our patients supporting their journey through the outpatient clinics, including waitlist and referral management.

Details of appointment:

Multiple permanent full time and/or part time, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you would like to join our team!

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• Successful Completion of, or a willingness to undertake, a recognised course in business/office administration and medical terminology
• Demonstrated experience in a healthcare setting
