About the role

Federal Accountant
About the Position This position is responsible for reconciling both federal expenditures and federal deposits between cash ordered and cash expended as well as prepare financial reports necessary for federal grant management. In addition, this position will be responsible for administering portions of the agency’s federally approved cost allocation plan.  The incumbent chosen to fill this position will ensure proper management of all federal grant funds.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or a closely related field
  • Four years of professional accounting experience
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of bookkeeping experience for each year of the required degree. 
Preference given to applicants holding a bachelor’s degree and/or those with experience in fiscal grant management.

Special Requirements:
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license
