As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.</p><p></p><p><b><span>What you will be doing</span></b></p><p></p><p>With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:</p><ul><li>define the accounting requirements for the set-up of a new small legal entity and ERP system in Germany and ensure a successful start of Day 1 operations,</li><li>set up a team and a third-party support network to manage the accounting and tax requirements for the new legal entity,</li><li>prepare interim and annual financial statements under German HGB and IFRS for the new legal entity (management and statutory), including extended trial balances, statutory adjustments, and notes to accounts,</li><li>implement new HGB and IFRS accounting standards when necessary and monitor compliance with existing standards and Group policies,</li><li>support external audits by providing audit evidence, explanations, and analysis in collaboration with Group, sector headquarters, and finance service centers,</li><li>provide governance in control objectives for accounting &amp; process policies, internal controls framework, balance sheet reviews, and the integrity of master data and systems.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Who we’re looking for</span></b></p><p></p><p>At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do.  These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.</p><p></p><p>To be successful in this role you will need to:</p><ul><li>be an experienced and qualified professional accountant with in-depth German HGB and IFRS accounting knowledge,</li><li>have high proficiency in financial accounting, financial data analysis, reporting, and modeling techniques,</li><li>demonstrate good business acumen, ideally with previous exposure to small/medium size legal entities operating internationally,</li><li>possess knowledge of German tax regulations,</li><li>have the ability to streamline functions and a passion for learning and growth,</li><li>exhibit strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication abilities,</li><li>be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and capable of working independently,</li><li>have a hands-on mentality and a strong intrinsic drive,</li><li>be fluent in English and German.</li></ul><p></p><p>We are an equal opportunities employer.
