Purpose: Supports the identification, initiation, research and development of process solutions for MTO with the intent of improving overall operational efficiency/effectiveness while ensuring that compliance, risk and regulatory issues are adhered to.


What You’ll Do 

  • Analyze/develop business requirements; assist in the preparation of business cases and project plans for approval and implementation. 
  • Responsible for designing and/or reengineering existing business processes, or tools, and document operational processes to assist in managing operational risks, streamlining processes and reducing overall costs. 
  • Work with the GBP Projects Team and GWT to design and transfer large scale manual processes for automation by building business requirements and providing process expertise 
  • Work with the MTO Management Team to resolve highly complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of Money Transfer Operations with a specific focus on creating tangible/measurable operational efficiencies through the application of business, financial, and process engineering knowledge. 
  • Assist in the development and operation of a comprehensive production management metrics process that provides necessary MIS to GBP Senior Management for decision support purposes
  • Provide expert guidance and input into the development of policies and procedures regarding the execution of various transactions. These not only include delivery mechanisms, but also risk containment/reduction methods.
  • Reviews/provides authorization for transactions and/or temporary credit requests to execute the requirement of servicing / amendments to existing accounts, products & services, and subsequent funding as applicable.
  • Provides back up to the Sr. Managers, Managers and Assistant Managers, and coverage for the officers within the Service teams
  • Demonstrate a high level of professional service to internal and external customers consistent with our role as a service provider of back office functions.
  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
