Job Title: Systems Analyst – Production Readiness
Reports To: Production Readiness Team lead
Department: Technology Operations
Location: Dundalk, Co. Louth
Hours of work: 4 days per week – 08:00 – 18:30. There will be a requirement to work 1 weekend per month.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual looking for an opportunity in a global organization to be part of a team, responsible for the identification and resolution of system problems. This includes but is not limited to receiving escalated problem calls and tickets, troubleshooting the problem and escalating to the appropriate teams where necessary. The analyst should be able to document any resolutions or processes (knowledge base) that will improve the team’s ability to support the organization. They should be able to effectively document and communicate production problems and notifications to the wider organization.
The applicant should have a strong background in Windows products and applications, with proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues. They should be experienced troubleshooting servers, databases, applications, networking, and the overall interaction between each of these layers. They should also have an aptitude for Data Management and Data Analysis. This position will provide the opportunity to work on global business systems and to develop new skills while working with latest technologies.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Analyse current applications/systems and processes to facilitate automation and process improvement.
• 4 Day shifts - 7-day rotation schedule includes weekends (approx. 1 weekend in 5, no late shifts).
• Troubleshoot problems to determine severity, priority and ultimately resolve.
• Timely, accurate and professional communication to the business during system outages.
• Identify and document fixes.
• Work with other teams to assist in creating permanent resolutions and fixes.
• Continuously strive to improve customer support, identifying opportunities and recommending solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor production systems using HP OMi and other tools and respond accordingly.
• Create and maintain knowledge base and problem resolution documentation as required.
• Provide excellent support to the organisation.
Essential Criteria:
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting with a high aptitude for complex systems
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or relevant industry experience
• Support our global infrastructure and multiple in-house applications
• Salesforce or other similar ticketing applications.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues
• Excellent communication both oral and written
• Sound decision making with the ability to work under minimum supervision
• Detail oriented and attention to detail
• Troubleshooting 3 Tier architecture (web servers, app servers, databases)
• Microsoft Server (Windows Server 2012, 2016)
• MS SQL or similar language
• Automation/Scripting – PowerShell or similar language
• HP OBM or other Enterprise Monitoring Software Experience
• Adhering to high financial penalty SLAs
Desired Criteria:
• Microsoft Development Suite (.NET, Java, ASP)
• Experience supporting Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Oracle)
• VMWare
• Network Technologies (routing, switching, F5 load balancing, Cisco)
• Security (Firewall, VPN)
• Production environment experience
• Understanding of Restful APIs / JSON / XML
• Internet Information Services (IIS)
