2nd Shift - Electrical Machine Repair Technician

Description Overview

• Troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to troubleshoot/service intermediate electrical and machine controls circuit defined as:
• Conveyor drive system
• Motor starter circuits including Variable Frequency Drives
• I/O - Switch Functions
• Equipment wiring/grounding techniques
• A/C & D/C Electronic concepts
• Proficient in Hydraulic, Pneumatics/Vacuum
• Read/Interpret relay and PLC Ladder Logic
• Participating and assisting in machine installations; suggesting and implementing machinery upgraders/improvements Experience Required
• Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements and understand how it affect products/processes supported and/or owned.

Scope of the Role

Experience Required

• Completed Technical degree / Four Year Apprenticeship required
• State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license preferred
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards, codes, and regulations
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, such as safety, quality, and GMP guidelines
• Thorough working knowledge and demonstrated aptitude in electrical and mechanical concepts such as machine repair, electrical theory, electrical controls, PLC, CNC, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint, and electrical schematic reading
• Ability to troubleshoot/service intermediate electrical and machine control circuits including the following: Conveyor drive systems, Motor starter circuits, Variable Frequency Drives, I/O function, PLC ladder logic, vision systems
