Systems Security Engineer I

As a Systems Security Engineer I, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, test, and implement our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. You'll research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our IT security strategy and introduce them to the enterprise.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Security+ CE Certification
• Ability to obtain/maintain to Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and practices.
• Experience in eMASS maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) for IT systems.
• Strong understanding of security controls, compliance requirements, and documentation associated with RMF and ATO.
• Familiarity with NIST standards and guidelines relevant to RMF and ATO processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts related to RMF and ATO to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
