Position Details
The Indirect Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) consists of: Purchasing, Contract Management, Corporate Programs and Policies, Purchasing Operations & Internal User Support, Tools & Technology Support, Reporting & Analytics and Continuous Improvement. As Sr Manager, Procurement Programs and Continuous Improvement you will own the development, execution and governance of both strategic and tactical Indirect Procurement activities. You will lead the vision, strategic efforts of, and monitor progression toward goals of two or more areas within the Center of Excellence (COE) that support the of indirect programs, as well as, its internal partners & stakeholders and suppliers. You will work with functional leaders across the Grainger organization and report to the Director, Indirect Procurement.
You Will

Develop, implement, and execute strategies and plans by collaborating with partners to deliver long-term value to Grainger, internal partners, and our suppliers

Establish environment to design, implement, manage, and monitor value-added, comprehensive capabilities

Promote team's execution through KPI-driven measurements to improve speed, flexibility, consistency and compliance to policy and procedures

Continue to improve upon our future-state design and vision by using partners in a collaborative manner to gain agreement with senior leadership (VP & Sr. Director/Director level) and provide visibility and demonstrate progress of Indirect Procurement COE processes and tool improvement

Establish and improve reporting mechanisms to provide performance updates on operational work and support

Develop, review, update, and implement procurement policies, procedures and indirect purchasing practices to provide best-in-class experiences to our partners

Identify and evaluate opportunities to increase the value and awareness that Indirect Procurement delivers to Grainger

Lead teams to ensure compliance to processes, practices and policies and coaching team members to achieve results through others and across multiple teams delivering value and efficiencies to Grainger

Identify, cultivate, and mentor team members to improve their abilities across multiple areas of discipline including; manage change, conflict, communication, systemic thinking, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
You Have

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Required

7+ years experience across supply chain, product, supplier, category, or contract management with financial acumen Required

Experienced managing multiple or divergent teams

Demonstrated mastery of project management and change management principals
