Data Services Delivery Lead, VP

State Street Global Technology Services is looking for a technology professional to lead data services delivery. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in technology project execution, hands-on skills in analysis, design, and development, as well as creativity and self-motivation to deliver on mission-critical projects.

The key responsibilities are: 

• Accountability and ownership for Data Services platforms
• Mentor a global team of engineers

• Oversee large projects and technology releases, ensuring quality and resiliency
• Drive issue management, root cause analysis and remediation
• Manage communications with business and client stakeholders

• Ensure high resilience, availability, business continuity, and consistently improve the risk posture and reduce technical debt of the applications.

• Cultivate robust partnerships with tech and business leaders

Skills that will help the leader to succeed in this role:

• Over 10 years of industry experience managing business solutions.
• Over 5 years’ experience managing teams is desirable
• Experience in designing and solutioning services, systems, and data platforms is essential.
• Experience in financial reporting or regulatory projects within the financial industry is a plus. Knowledge of financial concepts like Securities 101 and Capital Markets 101 is desirable.
• Experience in assessing software cost estimates, delivery schedules, and managing financials
• Agile delivery and SDLC process experience required.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure delivery.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a lead SQA resource who can execute / supervise team of test engineers for executing on a large IT initiative. The resource should be self starter in coming up with test strategy to shake the product before it goes to production. Should be well versed in team management and allocation of tasks as needed.

What you will be responsible for

In this role as system analyst cum testing engineer, the candidate will:

• Lead testing efforts for Credit Risk projects, QA team and related daily activities for assigned area of discipline
• Attend HLD Walkthroughs and Identify the testing requirements
• Prepare Test Strategy and Test Scenarios
• Review test cases and test results
• Conduct functional demos to business users
• Conduct testing and defects status meetings
• Participate in IT and Business stakeholder meetings
• Compliance to GQS and Corp Standards
• Participates in daily stand up, iteration planning, product demos and retrospective meetings
• Works closely with Business and Development teams to resolve quality problems and provide information
• Works with and contributes toward established goals & objectives
• Candidate must demonstrate a track record for high quality delivery and work in agile environment

• 10+ years of QA Lead/Manager experience – Manage Testing activities, Test Team and Develop test suite for end to end regression testing
• Experience in Financial Risk & Regulatory and Investment banking

• Experience with database testing and ability to write complex SQL Queries
• Experience with ORACLE and Database management tools
• Ability to write and analyze UNIX shell scripts and commands.

• Hands on experience in writing complex SQL queries and test data centric applications
