JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Product Development Manager will have the opportunity to help lead Momentec’s mission of ‘Outfitting Moments that Matter’. They’ll be responsible for managing the development of Uniforms and Outfitting styles within the Product Portfolio.

This person will be responsible for all stages of the product development process for assigned brands/categories from concept through to final production approval. This role will collaborate daily with key cross-functional partners in Product Line Management, Design, Sourcing, and Quality to bring seasonal product introductions to life, delivering on time and hitting margin expectations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):

• Manages all aspects of product development lifecycle, from initial specification packages to fit sessions, ensuring timely execution of the process.
• Research and stay up to speed with trends in the Team Sport and Outfitting space as well as competitive landscape within the industry.
• Showcase a deep understanding of the functional needs of athletes, their teams, and their sports to inform uniform design, fit, function and performance needs.
• Collaborates with internal and external teams to translate design concepts into final products, ensuring specifications, prototypes, and costing are in line with market/category expectations.
• Create technical packages, fabric/trim and color development including technical sketches, request prototype sampling, and costing while ensuring conformity with intended design and target market/category.
• Work with Design and Sourcing partners to develop materials, fabrics, and trims that can be leveraged across the line architecture and adhere to the high-quality standards established by Momentec and expected by the teams we outfit.
• Maintains style information in the DeSL PLM system and ensures updates are communicated to all relevant departments.
• Responsible for coordinating and leading fit sessions to review samples with Design, Product Line Managers and Sr. Director of PD.
• Provides feedback to manufacturing/vendor teams to improve fit and design, ensuring all products meet customer and market needs.
• Responsible for meeting product development deadlines and adhering to development calendars.
• Track and communicate progress on the commercialization calendar with the Product Development team.
• Liaise with factories regarding timelines for garment approvals and production deliveries.
• Effectively solve design, planning, costing, quality, and delivery issues through cross-functional collaboration
• Respond to Customer Service technical questions with team support.
• Assist with M3 setup and execution.
• Update tech packs as needed for current products as directed by the team.
