The Division of Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University invites applications for a associate track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek a dynamic and innovative scientist with a PhD (or MD/PhD) and a strong research focus in cancer biology, immuno-oncology, molecular genetics, or translational oncology. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic and clinical environment committed to advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead an independent, externally funded research program in medical oncology or cancer genetics.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the OSUCCC – James, including basic scientists, clinicians, and translational researchers.
  • Contribute to graduate and medical education through teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development.
  • Publish impactful research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional service, including committee work and strategic initiatives.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

PhD or MD/PhD required; Considerable post-doctoral experience in basic research required; considerable experience in oncology required; proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals preferred; understanding of key components of grant writing and obtaining funding in support of research required; experience with administration of funded research required.  Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
