SUPERVISOR:
Principal or designee.
SUMMARY:
Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Career College Center and standardized testing. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises the completion of college applications; may work in conjunction with the Records Office/Registrar.
2. Coordinates the various standardized or district testing programs (e.g. PLAN, PSAT, Advanced Placement, ACT) and compiles test result information.
3. Supervises and trains students, parents and faculty in the use of materials in the center and on computer programs (e.g. COCIS, Discover, GIS).
4. Coordinates and implements annual college/career nights and financial aid information sessions.
5. Disseminates information on colleges, careers, job openings, financial aid and scholarships.
6. Supervises and coordinates post graduate center by overseeing proper use of materials and equipment, ordering supplies, conducting inventory and budget.
7. Schedules activities within the center (e.g. classes, college representatives, military).
8. Establishes computer programs for collecting, compiling and maintaining student records.
9. Attends workshops/seminars to be current in career/military/college opportunities. Visits college campuses to update center information.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum two years work experience in educational environment.
3. Knowledge of college admission standards and procedures.
4. Ability to work with others in a team setting.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Organizational skills.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high volume area.
8. Experience with general office equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Administrative assistant/clerical or post graduate preparation experience.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Frequent bending, reaching, climbing.
2. Moderate physical effort (lifting up to 25 pounds).
3. Visual concentration on equipment.
4. Concentrated reading/writing/mathematics.
5. Noisy environment.
6. Working with others.
