Job Description
Position Summary
Performs troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, modification, vision system and particle sensor parameter setup of Automatic Inspection Machines for vials, ampoules, cartridges and syringes. Support of other types of pharmaceutical packaging and inspection equipment within our I2P division may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform machine installation/moves and assist customer with Site Acceptance Tests
• Perform preventive maintenance visits, including the following tasks:
o Check and troubleshoot electrical wiring and circuits
o Check and perform lubrication with oils and greases
o Perform electrical and mechanical calibration and alignments
o Inspect and replace worn or damaged spin bearings
o Inspect and replace worn or damaged spin belts and brakes
• Maintain routine communication with customer contacts to ensure proper function of machines
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customer at Bosch facility in Japan
• Troubleshooting of machine problems, both mechanical and electrical in nature:
• PLC programs
o High false reject rates of particle and cosmetic defects in the Pharmaceutical Industry with high speed camera inspections
• Train operators and maintenance staff at the customer site on how to use the AIM and EIS machines and other supported machines
• Perform vision training classes, both at office and at customer site, based on need
• Perform PC repairs and upgrades, both at office and at customer site
• Tear down and rebuild older inspection machines
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, and rebuild many different types of mechanically moving parts in inspection machines based on need
• Generate and complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork and reports
• Contact customers for update on machine status and needs
• Perform troubleshooting and support over the phone with customers
• Lift items up to 30 pounds, maneuver equipment for placement and to bend down and work within lower areas of machine
• Will travel extensively which requires a valid Driver’s License and Passport or ability to acquire a Passport
Qualifications
Must possess a minimum of an Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Must have a minimum of 1+ years experience working on a Vision System of any type
