We are seeking a candidate to join our game integration platform to bring gameplay and platform experiences closer together! As a team member for the game integration and validation platform, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of SDK technologies, game development and infrastructure. You'll be responsible for prototyping fast and effectively with experimental technologies and bringing new PlayStation experiences into gameplay features. Responsibilities:
- Manage communication against escalation regarding SDK integration from game studios
- Coordinate and make an SDK dotted release plan with stakeholders and teams based on the urgency/critical needs from game studios
- Collaborate and align with members in different countries for priorities and high level strategy to support game studios globally
- Support, guide and even sometimes write code to help integrating SDK into game for game studios.
- Gather feedback and pain point to help improving SDK for the future
- Help and guide a game validation team based on the recent game developer needs
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in STEM related field (or similar work experience). BA/BS/BSE in computer science, math, or equivalent technical experience
- 3+ years professional experience in games or similar field
- Strong C++ or C# skills, especially developing in Visual Studio
- Knowledge of debugging device-specific areas with Windows, Mobile, or Consoles
- Ability to manage a feature through the entire development and release cycle
- Experience developing with any game engine a plus e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity3D or similar
- In-depth experience building, profiling, analyzing and debugging self-contained features
- Experience blending, refactoring and extending an existing codebase
- Experience w/git or p4v in a production environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skill with members in other countries from language and culture background perspective, also strong written communication skills and habits
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience shipping titles on a modern console a strong plus
- Windows environment development experience
- Cloud-gaming experience (particularly AWS e.g. GameLift)
- Solid leadership skills and a passion for building world class consumer experiences.
- Keen eye for detail and managing multiple simultaneous dependencies.
- Ability to travel and manage projects with distributed resources sometimes in international locations.
- Strong sense of ownership.
- Experience in Live services game development or cross platform play game development
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
