Event Services Manager - Laidback Luxury in La Jolla

THE JOB:

 As an Event Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for our guests at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. This is a highly visible role that acts as the liaison between clients and the hotel to provide detailed execution and supervision of assigned groups, corporate/social events, and guestroom blocks.  This role will provide exceptional service for maximum re-booking achievement and upsell for profitability with unforgettable experiences. The Event Services Manager provides detailed event orders, group resumes, and diagrams for clients, assists with onsite event coordination, as well as oversees final group billing arrangements. This role will distribute event reporting for successful event operations, to include but not limited to daily events, group resume distribution, and banquet event order distribution across hotel departments. This position reports to the Director of Catering and Conference Services.

Requirements

Refined verbal and written communication skills

1+ year experience in Catering/Conference Services with social/corporate groups (Delphi experience required) 

Strong time management skills and proven demonstration of conflict resolution, with grace under pressure

Experience in taking care of guests in a fast-paced environment

Flexible schedule availability to include early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed by group business levels

Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Experience within a hotel/resort environment.
