Manufacturing Automation Specialist (Hybrid)

This role will provide automation system support and expertise to enable our manufacturing division in the reliable and compliant supply of quality vaccine products to customers and patients across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting challenging equipment/automation issues and innovating to improve manufacturing performance

• Maintaining the automation systems in compliance with cGMPs through the lifecycle of the equipment (initial qualification through retirement). 

• Reviewing automation documents, preventive maintenance, and SOPs to ensure compliance with GMP and safety.

• Developing and supporting corrective actions for investigations related to automation or IT systems.

• Providing technical assistance in fulfilling the automation requirements for the team. 

• Utilizing technical knowledge to ensure the efficient operation of a variety of automated processing and information technology systems. 

• Participating in audits and training programs in the area of responsibility.

• Generating and implementing change controls to meet the needs of the facility.

• Designing and implementing automation strategies and solutions to improve processes and reduce costs.

• Building relationships with functional counterparts and stakeholders in the business to proactively identify and resolve technical issues.

Required Experience:

• Strong technical writing capabilities

• 2-4 years of relevant industry experience

• Experience with navigating/troubleshooting Process Control systems, with preferred experience with the following: DeltaV DCS, Allen Bradly PLC, OPC, AS-i bus/Profibus and other related technologies

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues in a team environment, and with external customers and vendors

Preferred Experience:

• System validation and other Quality management functions.

• Understanding and ability to apply regulatory/ compliance requirements relative to their role

• Networking, Virtual Machines, Database management and other general IT administration

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science is preferred
