The Jr.  Maintenance Technician II position is a two-year on-the-job training program which is designed for recent graduates of technical education programs from local community colleges, providing the skills, knowledge, and real-world experience needed to become a full-fledged Maintenance Technician. 

As a Jr. Maintenance Technician II, you’ll work alongside experienced Maintenance professionals, gaining on-the-job training during normal working hours. This immersive experience will help you develop expertise in industrial maintenance, preparing you for a successful career in the field. 

 

You Will: 

Work with a qualified individual to learn the following: 

  • LOTO 
  • Electrical 
  • PLC 
  • Robot programming, installations, troubleshooting and commissioning 
  • Safety Circuits 
  • Problem Solving 
  • Troubleshooting 
  • Basic Electronics 
  • Industrial Controls 
  • Mechanical 
  • Lifts and Rigging 
  • Material Handling 
  • Machining 
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulics 
  • Identify hazards 
  • Other skills as determined by business needs 
  • Learn awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions 
  • Learn to work with a mentor, as a team, or independently as skill set improves 
  • Learn to work closely with all facets of the production group 
  • Learn to provide technical expertise or assistance 
  • Learn to effectively communicate to production group and various internal customers as appropriate 
  • Be required to attend and pass classes at a local Community College 
  • Perform other assigned tasks as determined by leadership 

You Bring: 

  • Associate's degree in Automated Industrial Technology or Certificates in Automated Industrial Technology I and II 
  • Be willing to support other departments as required 
  • Be willing to adjust work schedules to meet production requirements 
  • Ability to enforce and follow all Safety rules and regulations 
  • Professional, informative, and responsive communication skills 
  • Able to stand on your feet for 12-hour shifts and lift 50 pounds
