As a Senior Specialist, Logistics with our Formulations team, you will be responsible for assuring that raw materials, packaging and other supplies are delivered to the production area as needed to meet the production schedule.  This position was formerly titled Formulations Logistics coordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Make sure that raw material and packaging supplies are delivered to the production area to achieve the production schedule.  This requires SAP transactions and material movements.

• Communicates frequently with operators, material handlers and supervision to verify the production schedule is being achieved as planned.

• Make SAP transactions to assure proper accounting of raw materials and finished product.

• Complies with GMP,IHQ-7  and ISO regulations and procedures for storage of intermediates and quarantined materials.  Manages this inventory to assure that intermediates or material to be reprocessed is consumed on a timely basis.

• Takes periodic inventory measurements and assists in monthly closeouts.

• Responsible for knowledge and compliance with DSM Safety Standards relating to the following:  Manual material handling, material handling equipment, proper use of personal protective equipment, location and proper use of safety apparatus, knowledge of hazardous materials, emergency response procedures.  Recognizes and corrects unsafe practices and unsafe equipment related to the job and area(s) of operation.

 You bring:

• High School diploma or GED required

• 5 years of work-related experience preferred

• Preferred 2 years’ experience in logistics role

• Preferred proficient in use of SAP material ordering system.

• Preferred LEAN Yellow Belt certified training.
