Network Engineer

Your Job

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with key technologies SDWAN, LAN, Alkira, AWS. This role requires a deep understanding of network operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

Our Team

The KGS Infrastructure team provides reliable, flexible, and secure connectivity solutions that enable business solutions and perpetual transformation. We manage network and network security infrastructure, including wide area networking, local area networking, wireless, firewalls, datacenter networking, load balancing, endpoint security, and proxies. We provide enterprise infrastructure monitoring for IT components across the enterprise. We are currently focused on the following transformation strategies: talent, proactive management, process optimization and automation, security by design, and adopting a product focused organization.

What You Will Do

• Manage and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. 
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SDWAN, LAN, AWS, Alkira network devices. 
• Implement and maintain network policies, procedures, and documentation. 
• Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including SDWAN, LAN, AWS, Alkira network devices.
• Respond to network incidents promptly and effectively and collaborate with the required stakeholder teams to mitigate risks.
• Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to network systems. 
• Manage hardware and software lifecycles for network equipment. 
• Expertise in handling network operational-related issues.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. 
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. 
• Propose and implement improvements to enhance network operations. 
• Carry automation and Optimization mindset and Work towards long term solutions. 
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of incidents.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in Cisco SDWAN and Alkira
• Experience supporting complex enterprise networks, or management of network.
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a on call rotation

What Will Put You Ahead

• One or more industry certifications such as: CCNA, CCIP, CCNP, Network+, Security+, GSEC, PCNSE, Etc.
• Experience in LAN, Meraki, Legacy Wireless, AWS, Cisco ISE technologies
• Understating of ITIL process which involves documentation of operational components like network configurations, security protocols, and troubleshooting procedures.
