This role is part of our Sales, Service, and Commerce System team that is responsible for everything commerce related at Lucid Motors including: vehicle reservation, configuration and ordering, customer payments, the order management and delivery process, and developing features and commerce opportunities for vehicle owners. We also own the systems used by our internal teams for Sales, Delivery, Service Operations and Customer Care. You will be in the forefront of application architecture, design, development and operations. You will work as a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to mentor and grow engineers, be responsible for technical teams and their deliverables, project estimation. You will provide deep software development knowledge, best practices, and will work closely with product managers, business owners, and cross functional teams. You are also expected to help establish the team culture with ownership, accountability, and innovation.  

Responsibilities:

• Building next generation commerce experiences and integrations 
• Developing full stack React applications and tools that talk to web services authored in NodeJS and Spring Boot Kotlin
• Performing code reviews and estimating projects
• Growing and nurturing the skills of your team
• Attracting talented engineers to the team

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in computer science / engineering or equivalent professional experience; MS preferred
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience with responsive web design and targeting mobile platforms
• Proven track record of delivering high value projects on time
• Web service development using any of the following: Spring Boot, Kotlin, Java, NodeJS, PHP, or Go
• 5+ years of experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
• 5+ years of experience creating REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• 5+ years of database development experience with PostGres, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Passionate about providing the best user experience for customers
• 5+ of experience with AWS and its offerings such as Lambda, S3, and Aurora is a plus
• 5+ years of experience using source control systems such as Git
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD, automated test and build tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• International software development experience is a plus 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• E-Commerce background preferred
• Experience integrating with Salesforce and/or SAP ERP is a bonus
