ROLE OVERVIEW

The Zone Manager of Safety and Security execute implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive and effective Safety and Security programs across a large geographic footprint.

Compensation: $110,000 - 135,000/annually, plus annual bonus potential

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and/or coordinates services including, but not limited to, alarm monitoring, access control, incident detection and mitigation, communication and awareness, delivery functions, theft and property and deterrence functions, workers comp and general liability claims. 

  • Communicate issues and recommendations for resolution to the Director of Safety and Security. 

  • Assist with coordination and implementation of physical security site plans and operations to ensure protection of all employees, visitors, vendors, assets, and infrastructure. 

  • Protection responsibilities will include, may include workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, and emergency protocols (e.g., disaster recovery, text messaging alerts, and employee safety verification procedures) 

  • Assists and supports design, development, and implement solutions for security system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change-outs. 

  • Conduct annual on-site surveys at sites within zone or as assigned to ensure ongoing compliance with safety and security standards, policies, and procedures. 

  • Provides guidance to the sites, global real estate onsite staff and line level management in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and security processes to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability resulting to reduce financial loss to the organization. 

  • Conduct safety and security related training sessions for employees regarding loss mitigation and physical security topics to expand their awareness of safety and security standards, policies, and procedures. 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety and security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure ongoing enhancements of the safety and security programs. 

  • Investigations regarding threats, unlawful activities, OSHA concerns, and safety incidents.

  • Conduct investigations, collect and analyze information, interview parties, and summarize conclusions and findings in comprehensive investigation report. 

  • Conduct site vulnerability assessments and make recommendations for mitigation/improvement. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience and at least 8 years of experience in physical safety and security. 

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPP, PSP, CSSM) 

  • Experience with security system design and maintenance, including access control and video surveillance.  

  • Experience conducting risk and vulnerability assessments and operational security design/planning. 

  • Comfortable leading large cross functional initiatives, and collaborating with management from Legal, HR, Operations, and IT. 

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering results. 

  • Analytical and drives towards solutions independently. 

  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members regarding safety and security standards and system designs. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with various audiences and stakeholders to include, management, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.  

Travel Required: 50%
