ROLE SUMMARY

Zavzpret (zavegepant) is the first and only nasal CGRP receptor antagonist for the acute treatment of migraine and is a critical part of our fast-growing migraine portfolio.  Zavzpret has the opportunity to add an important advancement in a growing class of the CGRP antagonist market, contributing to the changing treatment paradigm in migraine and potentially establishing a new standard of care. Currently there are more than 1 billion people who suffer from migraine worldwide, making this one of the largest population health challenges of our times.

Zavzpret launched in mid-2023 and is the fastest growing non-oral treatment in the acute migraine treatment category in the US, and is expected to be launch globally over the next several years.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Sr. Director US Zavzpret Team Lead is accountable for shaping and executing the brand’s US strategy, managing a team of marketers, partnering with the sales force and cross-functional partners, and delivering on the Zavzpret P&L. This colleague will also partner with cross-functional colleagues to advance Zavzpret’s lifecycle plan and contracting/access strategy to deliver on its long range forecast.

This brand represents a key growth brand for Pfizer.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day brand management of marketing strategy and execution, P&L management and resource allocation across strategic levers to meet brand growth goals
  • Identify, strategize, plan and execute incremental growth opportunities for the brand including identification of clinical data gaps and launch of new clinical data
  • Partner with KOLs, field force, BAI and other stakeholders to identify emerging launch insights generated from both internal and external customers and leverage these to drive brand trial and adoption
  • Partner with GAV team on payer contracting decisions and with Migraine Access Lead on patient access and affordability programs to maximize value and patient access
  • Partner with Medical on competitive and lifecycle opportunities to maximize product differentiation
  • Partner with analytics and finance teams to identify opportunities for growth and manage quarterly financial processes including earnings, operating plan forecasts, LEs, quarter closes and other financial deliverables
  • Lead a team of marketers by providing strategic guidance on all key deliverables, formal and informal coaching as well as mentoring on a day-to-day basis, and formal feedback on performance and development
  • Align closely with sales leadership to develop and execute HCP promotional strategy inclusive of: POAs and sales meetings, extensive peer to peer educational programming, congress presence and non-personal promotion
  • Represent Zavzpret as a key member of Global Team (GPT) as commercial point person for US
  • Partner with NURTEC marketing leads on a regular basis to maximize portfolio synergies
  • Partner with finance and analytics teams to track performance, report on KPIs and provide regular senior leader updates on promotional strategies, tactics and performance
  • Actively fostering positive team culture and collaboration across broader US Migraine team while ensuring compliant ways of working
  • Manage agencies and A&P budget for the brand

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience required
  • Prior experience with a US and/or global product launch preferred
  • Strong understanding of local marketing principles
  • Exceptional brand management, project management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in complex “white space” environments
  • Ability to create an environment that continuously encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to generate strong customer insights and transfer those insights into strategy, planning and execution
  • Leadership of teams across organizations, enterprise and matrix members
  • Strong influence & communications skills; ability to communicate with Global BU Leadership, ELT level, and to external audiences
  • Ability to prioritize asset/assets priorities, value drivers, and effectively allocate resources to optimize growth.
