This position is located in the Greater Cleveland, OH, area at the Warrensville Technical Center (moving to the Brecksville Technical Center) supporting the Performance Coatings Group (PCG) Design Quality organization. This high exposure position will have interaction with Quality, Technical, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Sales teams and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance. The incumbent will lead high impact Process Excellence projects to meet the business needs of strategic customers, support and lead strategic continuous improvement projects, and help identify key areas of opportunity for the business. Specifically, this individual will play a crucial role in the successful transfer of new product and technologies from one part of the organization to another.

 

  • Support PCG Quality strategic process initiatives focusing on the growth and application of the standardized global Product & Technical Transfer process. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and IT, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Drive Quality discipline and CI execution through technical and product transfers; and promote collaboration through matrix organizations to achieve program and process success that supports business unit strategies primarily in North America. 
    1. Project planning / timeline creation / execution.
    2. Requirements gathering and standardization.
    3. Documentation completion.
    4. Regulation and standard compliance.
    5. Data analysis and reporting (e.g., Business Objects, Dataiku, Tableau, etc.) to measure process performance and implementation.
    6. Technical problem-solving support to aid process teams 
    7. Creation of supporting program materials (ex: templates, Quality Standards, training materials)
  • Provide ongoing Quality leadership in USCA that may include, but is not limited to:
  1. Identification of projects and opportunities that align with business / functional goals and strategies, by evaluating existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  2. Communication with key stakeholders as needed to drive Quality process initiatives and ensure the highest level of quality and service to all customers.
  3. Timely investigation and resolution of product quality process issues 
  4. Organizational influence by initiating and driving change and process improvement; cultivating a culture and mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Train and mentor cross-functional employees in the understanding of process improvement and product transfer methodologies to deliver quantifiable performance improvement and build a culture of continuous improvement
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of process improvements, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field.  
  • Fundamental knowledge of formula technology, including underlying concepts, theories, and principles
  • Working knowledge of basic project planning, process mapping, scheduling, and monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with coordinating resources and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders, including executives
  • Ability to use analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • 3+ years of experience in one, or more of the following fields: Operations (quality, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering and procurement), technical (R&D), and related support IT systems
