Position Specific Description
Sr.Lease Operator is responsible for the daily monitoring of well site locations and produced water disposals, in and around Longwood, LA. We ask that applicants live within 1 hour of the job sites. Pumpers also will perform routine maintenance on various equipment around the well site utilizing company supplied hand tools/EQ. Upon availability, a company truck may be provided to you for company work.
Duties Include, but are not limited to:
o Monitor chemical levels, injection rates, and maximize efficiency of chemical pumped.
o Pulling bottoms, emptying dikes sump pumps/ trash pumps will be supplied)
o Monitor pumping equipment, pipelines, treaters, SWD’S and tanks to ensure they are operating efficiently. o Insure compressors are operating correctly and reporting every failure to Foreman and Compressor Company. Additional hours may be required.
o Perform routine maintenance on equipment/greasing transfer pumps, injection pumps, pumping units, fixing/rebuilding dump valves, PR valves, and BP valves.
o Repair water meters and gauges as they fail
o Repair pipe sections (nipples), call foreman for help if needed.
o Utilize chemical companies to monitor the condition of fluid contained in storage tanks.
o Monitor tank levels and ensure tanks are not becoming overloaded
o Test Alarms 1 time per week and report results to Foreman.
o Call in oil and water loads to various trucking companies and ensure they are being picked up.
o Accurately report production of each well on the production system and add comments pertaining to loss or gain of production.
o Practice good housekeeping and keep location and tanks clean of oil stains and spills.
o Maintain company truck and keep It in a safe and dependable condition.
o Make suggestions to maximize lease route efficiency.
o Suggest ways to save money on daily operations.
o Offer ideas to help maintain a safe workplace environment
o Attend safety meetings, understand you have responsibility to stop work when safety related issues are encountered.
o Spill prevention understand batteries to prevent spills of any kind.
o Review and understand Safety Resource Guide. Be an advocate of Safety and Environmental Stewardship.
Job Overview
This position is responsible for monitoring and reporting on production and other pertinent well information. Employees in this role provide maintenance on production equipment and ensure the secure and environmentally safe operation of wells and leases.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Gauges production on assigned wells
- Reports on gauge readings, and downtime
- Performs lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; trim weeds, clean up trash
- Notes problems and recommends courses of action
- Assists in witnessing meter calibrations
- Monitors rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells and makes necessary adjustments
- Monitors chemical use and tests safety systems daily to maximize daily production
- Assists with down hole pump changes, tubing replacement, etc. on artificially lifted wells
- Assists with pump and compressor maintenance such as oil changes, obtaining oil sample for analysis, pulling compressor valves, tests and repairs
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 6+ years
