Responsibilities

The Used Car Technician will be responsible for servicing and repairing multiple vehicles makes and models as assigned by the service department. 

• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs.
• Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Required: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician is required. Prior experience as a Used Car Technician or work in a used car dealership or independent repair shop is strongly preferred.
  
• Required: Experience performing maintenance and repairs on all makes and models, including domestic, Asian, and some European vehicles.
• Preferred: Smog License (Test and Repair) and ASE and manufacturer certifications are preferred. A/C certification is also a bonus.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a focus on accurately identifying root causes—not just replacing parts.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, drivability issues, and mechanical repairs. 
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Compensation

• The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $33.80 - $40.00.
