General Summary:
The Senior Manager, Construction Technology & Integration will provide a high level of expertise, leadership, and oversight into all aspects of construction technology services, including the deployment of tools to facilitate constructability analysis, coordination, quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and project scheduling. This role is responsible for advising construction technology managers on the selection of appropriate hardware and software, and managing and coordinating enterprise training programs on construction technologies that support document creation and management, modeling, file management, and drafting. In addition, this role will act as principal liaison between operating companies, EMCOR IT, and 3d-party vendors to facilitate the fielding of new technologies.
The ECS Headquarters is located in McLean, VA. However, this position can be performed remotely from other US continental locations near major airports.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serves as focal point for corporate construction technology portfolio
- Maintains construction technology product use data from enterprise-level accounts in line with corporate requirements
- Assists with the configuration and monitoring of dashboards to enable construction performance management
- Champions use of analytics to monitor quality and effectiveness of construction technology product use
- Leads cost code modernization effort to allow attribution of coordination costs to specific jobs
- Maintains direct and regular contact with construction technology software vendor technical solutions representatives
- Monitors and evaluates construction technology product updates; advises leadership on interoperability issues
- Reviews and evaluates emerging construction technology capabilities to advise leadership on purchasing decisions
- Ensures emerging construction technologies comply with IT security requirements and data privacy policies
- Develops and presents construction technology training materials promoting the fielding of new technology solutions
- Assists operating companies in developing, documenting, and implementing new construction workflows
- Provides support and technical troubleshooting for legacy construction technologies
- Facilitates construction technology Peer Group engagements; organizes technology committees comprised of operating company “power users” to identify and resolve issues and to promote best practices

Education, Work Experience, and Physical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- 10+ years working in the construction industry with a minimum of five years of experience in a construction technology role; mechanical, and/or electrical, process piping and refrigeration drafting experience preferred
- Previous experience with an ECS OpCo; electrical construction technology design experience preferred
- Possess in-depth knowledge and competency of computer hardware and software
