Roofing Estimator/Project Manager

Description

This is a full-time, direct placement role at United Solar Group Construction.

Brookfield, CT architectural roofing and sheet metal contractor has an opening for a candidate to join our estimating department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify bidding opportunities from multiple platforms and maintain bid list and their corresponding documents
• Analyze project scope and compile takeoffs from bid documents for all components of bid
• Solicit and negotiate material and subcontractor quotations
• Compile bid documents and prepare them for submittal
• Communicate with Owners, Construction Managers, and Contractors regarding bid submittals and potential award of contract
• Negotiate and verify contract scope and terms upon award of contract
• Hand off project to Project Management upon contract execution
• Assist Project Management with material purchasing and subcontract negotiation
• Track ongoing projects to identify changes in scope of work and potential change orders
• Cost analysis of ongoing projects to further develop unit pricing and to improve the overall bid process
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license
• Knowledge of The Edge and Sage 300 CRE a plus

Work area is Connecticut and New York State

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 5 years (Required)

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• 5 years of commercial roofing estimating experience
• Full comprehension of commercial/industrial roofing system design, installation, code compliance and manufacturer's requirements for warranty
• Experience with all roofing systems and their components
