Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Technical Intern for the Gas Operations GIS Group. This job involves working as a project management assistant to validate, develop project tacking methods through various ongoing GIS- construction related projects including digital construction upgrade, digitizing gas leak survey, GIS version system upgrade, Gas procedure Power apps and mark-out GPS collections. This position will be hybrid flexible.

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

• Assistant in project planning 
• Track project progress 
• Communicate project status with various stake holders 
• Coordinate internal/external meetings and workshops 
• Documentation and summarize meeting notes 

Job Specific Qualifications

• The successful incumbent must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in management, architecture or engineering and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
• Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
• Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

 

Desired 

• 3.5 GPA
• Experience with Graphic Design Software e.g CAD
• Experience with Microsoft Suite of Products
• Experience with drawings and sketches 

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
