Position Overview
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA), an all-girls Catholic high school committed to educating young women for a life of faith, integrity, and truth, is seeking an experienced Head Track & Field Coach. We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable leader who can inspire student-athletes, promote sportsmanship, and elevate a competitive and inclusive Track & Field program rooted in the mission and values of FSHA.
Season: January 12 – May 16 (through CIF playoffs)
Compensation: $5,200 stipend for the season
Primary Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of the Track & Field program, including practice planning, meet preparation, athlete development, and overall program strategy.

Provide instruction in fundamental and advanced techniques for sprints, distance, hurdles, jumps, throws, and relays.

Foster a positive, disciplined, and safe training environment that reflects the values of the school community.

Support the personal development of student-athletes, including character, leadership, and academic balance.

Coordinate meet schedules, transportation, equipment needs, communications, and collaboration with faculty, staff, and administration.

Recruit, train, and supervise assistant coaches as needed.

Maintain compliance with CIF, league, and FSHA athletic and safety regulations.

Attend required coaches’ meetings, professional development sessions, and school events related to the athletic program.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Previous Head Coach experience in Track & Field required.

Demonstrated expertise in event training, athlete conditioning, and team leadership.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to supporting an empowering environment for young women.

Willingness to uphold the mission and values of a Catholic school; candidates of all faith backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Any required CIF or league coaching certifications, or willingness to complete them prior to the season.
