Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Consultant

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of hands-on ODI experience, deep expertise in ELT architecture, and strong Oracle Database (SQL/PLSQL) skills, along with a solid foundation in data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
Key Responsibilities
ODI Upgrade & Migration
-
Perform end-to-end ODI 11g to ODI 12c upgrades, including Master and Work Repository schema upgrades using Oracle Upgrade Assistant (OUA)
-
Analyze and remediate pre-upgrade issues, compatibility challenges, and deprecated components
-
Migrate and validate mappings, packages, procedures, load plans, variables, and scenarios
-
Conduct post-upgrade testing, performance tuning, and production cutover support
-
Ensure repository integrity, security migration, and topology reconfiguration
ODI Development & Administration
-
Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT workflows using ODI 11g/12c or later
-
Build and maintain:

ODI mappings and interfaces
-
Packages and procedures
-
Load plans and scenarios
-

Develop and customize Knowledge Modules (KM) and reusable components
-
Configure and manage ODI Topology, Security, and Work Repositories
-
Implement best practices for code versioning, deployment, and release management
Data Integration & Warehousing

Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems

Relational databases
-
Flat files
-
XML
-
APIs / web services
-

Apply data warehousing concepts including:

Fact and dimension tables
-
Star and snowflake schemas
-

Support data validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization
Database Development

Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL for high-volume data processing

Perform query tuning and performance enhancement
-
Support database objects required for ODI processing
Requirements
-
7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 11g and 12c or later)
-
Proven experience performing ODI repository upgrades using Oracle Upgrade Assistant

Strong understanding of ETL vs ELT architecture and best practices
-
Advanced proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL
-
Solid experience with data warehousing and dimensional data modeling
-
Hands-on experience configuring ODI Topology, Security, and Repositories
-
Experience integrating data from multiple heterogeneous sources
