About The Program Management Office

The Program Management Office drives Quartus' profitability and strategic growth by leading program pursuit and execution with integrity and a "People First" approach. We plan proposals and projects, manage project scope, budget, resources, and risks, ensure transparent communication with stakeholders, and report program performance. Emphasizing sequential phase execution, we prioritize customer goals, leveraging interdependencies between programs for optimal business development while meeting customer expectations.

What will you do?

As a Senior Program Manager in our San Diego office, you will lead a team of project and program managers and ensure that your direct reports are driving successful execution of their programs. As business needs dictate, you will supervise and drive the successful execution of complex engineering programs from conception to completion as an individual contributor.

 

Essential Job Functions:

·         Lead a team of 4-7 PMO staff (direct personnel reports)

o   Accountable for program performance of team

o   Foster team & group collaboration and high technical performance 

o   Mentor, motivate, and develop direct reports’ programmatic and people leadership skills

o   Help individual reports chart career paths, set goals, and track progress 

o   Evaluate/advocate for employee promotions 

o   Assess performance, constructively coach, perform Annual Performance Reviews

o   Maintain frequent two-way communication with team

o   Collaborate with PGMs to establish goals and career development plans for their direct reports

·         Program Leadership:

o   Manage 1 to 2 programs from concept to completion, ensuring that quality/customer expectations, budgetary, and timeline objectives are met

·         Resource Management:

o   Work closely with resource managers and team leads to allocate resources efficiently, optimizing utilization across projects while maintaining a high level of employee engagement

·         Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

o   Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and programs, developing comprehensive risk management plans to proactively address and mitigate these issues

·         Client Engagement:

o   Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their unique requirements.

o   Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for business expansion for existing and new customers, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

o   Champion a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating and enhancing program management methodologies, tools, and processes
