The Legal Compliance Organization (LCO) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA and second headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI provides legal guidance to further KLA’s strategic objectives and protect and preserve the legal, ethical and financial integrity and reputation of the Company. With specific expertise in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, employment law, and intellectual property; the LCO offers strategic legal counsel that is informed by a clear understanding of the company’s business objectives and expertise in the laws and regulations relevant to the business worldwide.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Ethics & Legal Compliance Summer Internship
The Corporate Ethics & Legal Compliance Summer Intern will be responsible for assisting team members on a variety of topics in support of group and organizational strategic goals. Projects will be drawn from a pool of requirements supporting but not limited to:
Assisting with the execution of certain anti-corruption compliance related activities, including certain anti-corruption due diligence and third-party management efforts;
Assisting in execution of KLA’s global policy administration efforts;
Collaborating with functional owners on the updates of global policies and guidelines and assisting regions with local variations, if needed;
Assisting with communications campaigns to raise awareness about compliance policies and systems;
Crafting materials for training employees on the use of new compliance systems as they are launched;
Working with E&LC Team members to ensure all program documentation is updated.
Minimum Qualifications
Students pursuing their Bachelor’s in Business Administration, or in Pre-Law, or related field.
Interest in pursuing a law degree is a plus
This is a hybrid opportunity (remote and on-site). Individual must be available to work in the Milpitas, CA office at least twice per week.
