What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify entry permissions when required, and support visitor and staff screening procedures in accordance with site guidelines.
• Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and applicable laws, maintaining professional presence and readiness during assigned patrol activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
