Overview
The HR Business Partner is a visible, approachable, and trusted resource for leaders, managers, and employees across our site-based operations. This role is designed to be more than a traditional HR point of contact—it helps managers lead well, helps employees feel supported and heard, and strengthens the overall employee experience through practical guidance, thoughtful problem-solving, and proactive engagement.
This role supports the full employee lifecycle by advising leaders and employees, interpreting policies, assessing risk, recommending practical solutions, and guiding people-related decisions across manager coaching, employee relations, engagement, performance management, workforce planning, and key employee lifecycle and compliance processes. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, independent judgment, operational credibility, and the ability to balance empathy, consistency, compliance, company values, and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a trusted advisor to people managers providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, and employee relations.
• Partner with managers to anticipate business needs and develop strategies that drive performance, engagement, and retention.
• Coach and develop people managers through real-time guidance on employee performance, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, and day-to-day people management challenges in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional HR initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and successful execution through strong project management practices.
• Champion organizational culture, inclusion, and employee experience at every level of the business.
• Influence managers with data-driven insights and thoughtful recommendations to guide decision-making.
• Drive consistency and alignment across people practices, ensuring HR initiatives reinforce company values and strategic objectives.
• Act as a pulse-check for employee sentiment, providing feedback and insights to leadership to inform action plans.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations concerns, conducting intake and investigations as required and making recommendations as appropriate.
• Advise employees and managers on policy interpretation and application, ensuring consistency and compliance.
Job Requirements:
• 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist or specialist role;
• Required work in Data Center operations/construction and field-based, industrial, or operational settings supporting mission critical workforce.
• Proven ability to foster culture and engagement in evolving or high-change environments.
• Strong project management skills with demonstrated success leading coordinated, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Exceptional ability to balance tactical execution with strategic planning.
• Skilled in change management, organizational development, and building leadership capability.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and influence skills.
• Agile, resourceful, and comfortable leading in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
