Tax Senior

SLBiggs is a specialty division within the firm of SingerLewak, LLP dedicated to providing financial services in the areas of tax, operations management, trust and probate accounting, M&A, valuation, insolvency, and litigation support. We have offices in Los Angeles and Denver.  Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Tax Senior with 3+ years of public accounting experience and a “take-charge” attitude. As a valued team member, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners on challenging engagements in a professional and collegial office environment. 

Responsibilities

• Preparing Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, and trusts and estates.
• Handling complex accounting and tax issues.
• Supervising and assisting junior staff members, including proactively coordinating with staff through engagement inception, progress, and completion.
• Conducting basic and complex tax research.
• Developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Identifying tax planning and consulting opportunities.
• Remaining cognizant of deadlines, budgets, and efficiency, while consistently producing high-quality work-product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years’ tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
• CPA license or on track to obtain CPA license.
• Attention to detail with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial work ethic.
• Ability to comprehend complex tax and accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrates advanced competency in technical skills and work quality.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
