Job Description
NOTE:
This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.

What you get to do in this role:
- We are an Operations team that is responsible for the capacity of ServiceNow customers.
- Manage, monitor, and manipulate the server farm behind ServiceNow’s cloud.
- Work directly on/with the servers to enable and optimize capacity utilization for ServiceNow’s customer base.
- Drive and Enhance processes and tools necessary to simplify and provide consistent project execution.
- Drive initiatives with partner teams to improve the reliability and performance of the infrastructure through improved system design.
- Provide proactive management and innovation to ensure 100% success of ServiceNow cloud automation.
- Use your experience in systems engineering, scripting development, and networking to proactively prevent repeatable issues.
- Drive a culture of intolerance to manual activity which results in a highly automated environment delivering scalable solutions.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 6+ years Postgres/MySQL database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- 6+ years of Linux System Admin skills preferably hands-on on Centos and RedHat 8 plus.
- Expertise in Observability and Monitoring of applications, services, and networks at scale.
- Intermediate to Expertise in Networking skills, IP addressing, and routing.
- Experience in understanding of ServiceNow Platform is a bonus.
- Experience in DNS/DHCP and PXE boot kickstart process and bare metal/rack deployments.
- Good understanding of enterprise-class server hardware eg. Dell.
- Good understanding of storage concepts such as NFS, iSCSI, S3, backup and restore policies.
- Team-first attitude and uncompromising attention to detail.
- Team collaboration and fit are essential.
- Experience in fast-paced operations and engineering environments.
- Participate in 24/7 On-call rotation.
- Cloud technologies experience is a big plus (AWS or Azure)
