The Sr. Compliance Specialist will lead and support a variety of activities related to accurately reporting items of value provided to health care professionals (HCPs) and health care organizations (HCOs), as required by the U.S. Open Payments (Sunshine Act) Program and other transparency obligations. Working centrally within the global Transparency Reporting Center of Expertise (CoE) under the Legal & Compliance function, the Sr. Compliance Specialist will collaborate with our internal partners to collect, compile, review, and prepare the data for internal and external reporting purposes. The Sr. Compliance Specialist will also ensure transactional data and HCP/HCO recipient information is accurate and complete, utilizing cross-checking processes and multi-source reconciliations. When errors or differences are found, the Sr. Compliance Specialist will work with the applicable IT and business partners to resolve the discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner. The Sr. Compliance Specialist will also assist in providing metrics for senior leadership and have a comprehensive understanding of the applicable state and federal regulations as it pertains to transparency reporting.

This position reports to the Compliance Director responsible for transparency reporting.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Compile, review, correct, and submit certifications and transparency disclosures to state and federal authorities. All deadlines must be met.
• Specifically oversee the various state reporting requirements, becoming a subject matter expert in all state-specific requirements.
• Develop and conduct ad hoc training sessions as needed across the organization, showing employees how to properly capture items provided to HCPs/HCOs in the applicable source systems.
• Manage database configurations and mappings which support our transparency reporting tools.
• Lead the Open Payments dispute resolution process, ensuring all disputes received from HCPs/HCOs are logged and remediated in a timely manner.
• Compile and present reporting metrics to our internal stakeholders (including ad hoc requests).
• Spearhead data review and reconciliation efforts among source systems & databases to ensure all sources are aligned, complete, and accurate.
• Respond to frequent inquiries from our business partners related to transparency reporting requirement and guidelines.
• Identify and drive process improvement initiatives, especially as it relates to  capturing and extracting data in source systems used for transparency reporting purposes
• Escalate issues as appropriate.
• Model high standards of ethical conduct

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in auditing & monitoring, regulatory or compliance preferably in medical technology industry, or, an advanced degree with 2+years’ experience

Nice-to-Have

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance/accounting, business, IT or related discipline or an advanced degree
• Experience in audit and monitoring techniques and data reconciliation
• Ability to process and organize a high volume of data
• Experience with query tools such as Business Objects, Power Business Intelligence, Tableau, or TIBCO Spotfire
• Ability to learn difficult and complex tasks
