About the role

Overview:   Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) has an opening in our Geotechnical Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.
STAFF ENGINEER (job located at 1748 Independence Boulevard, Ste B-1, Sarasota, FL 34234) under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), analyze test data and evaluate the allowable bearing capacity and potential settlement for shallow foundations support; Evaluate the most cost-effective ground improvement technique for shallow foundation support; Evaluate and analyze slope stability; Perform deep foundations design; Perform instrumentation and evaluation during pile load testing; Prepare engineering and design documents using AutoCAD, Slope/W, Seep/W, Allpile WEAP and Finite Element Method in Geo-Structure; Prepare reports, specifications, plans and designs for project; Create technical documents for construction.  Require: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field with 1 year of experience in the job offered or as a Geotechnical Assistant Project Manager, CMT/GEO Field Technician or Materials Engineer; Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.  Send resume: GFA International, Inc. d/b/a Universal Engineering Sciences, 1215 Wallace Drive, Delray Beach, FL 33444 or by email to ndiran@teamues.com; Attn: Job ARK.
