Aircraft Services – MRO Travel Team
Bring your experience and help become part of a new dedicated travel team to support Bell customers. In this position you’ll serve as part of a small group of team members to provide quality service to customers, both domestically and internationally. This role will be an integral part of the team, travelling both domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time. You’ll be able to demonstrate your technical abilities by supporting customers with tasks such as aircraft reassembly, inspections, maintenance, and post-maintenance test flights. When not on travel assignment, you’ll use your expertise to work onsite at the Piney Flats location, supporting the aircraft maintenance and/or customization team.
What you’ll be doing as a Travel Team Avionics Tech
- Take part in offsite tear downs, reassemblies, inspections, AOG work, and new aircraft deliveries. Assist with major inspections and repairs, as well as post-maintenance test flights.
- Work effectively on your team.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals and installation instructions.
- Document all work performed.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and PPE use.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience and expertise related to job duties (preferably on Bell rotorcraft)
- High self-motivation
- Team player mindset
- Ability to prioritize work, and to exercise strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel with little notice for unspecified amounts of time
- Ability to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
What you need to be successful
- FAA Airframe Certificate. (A&P Certificate preferred.)
- 2+ years of job-related experience, preferably on Bell rotorcraft models.
- Up to date passport, and ability to travel on short notice for unspecified amounts of time
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to provide own tools
- High school degree or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed
