Koniag Operations Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Technician to support facility operations at a federal government installation in Williamsburg, KY.

The ideal candidate is a skilled and detail-oriented maintenance professional with demonstrated experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, equipment, and machinery.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all building systems, equipment, and machinery within a federal government facility. This includes performing routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as addressing any facility-related issues that arise in a timely and effective manner. The role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail to maintain a safe, functional, and efficient environment.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance inspections of building systems, equipment, and machinery to identify and address potential issues before they result in system failures or disruptions to facility operations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in accordance with applicable codes, maintenance manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Respond promptly to work orders and service requests for both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to facility operations.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment including air handling units, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and associated controls and components.
• Perform maintenance and repair of plumbing systems including water supply lines, wastewater systems, fixtures, valves, pumps, and related components.
• Conduct electrical maintenance tasks including inspecting wiring, replacing fixtures, troubleshooting circuits, and performing minor electrical repairs in accordance with applicable safety standards.
• Monitor and maintain building automation and control systems, reporting anomalies and taking corrective action as directed.
• Perform carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance tasks as required to maintain the appearance and functionality of the facility.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules.
• Manage and maintain an inventory of parts, tools, supplies, and equipment necessary to support facility maintenance operations.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with facility management, other trades personnel, and contractors to schedule and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations in a timely manner to minimize disruption to facility operations and ensure the safety of building occupants.
• Participate in required training programs, continuing education courses, and certification renewals to maintain technical proficiency and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support other trades and facility maintenance personnel as directed by supervisory staff.

Education and Experience:
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; vocational or technical training in a building trades, mechanical, electrical, or HVAC-related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related trades field.
• Demonstrated experience performing maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in a commercial, industrial, or government facility environment.
• Valid EPA Section 608 Technician Certification for handling refrigerants (Universal or applicable type certification required).
• Must possess valid training certifications in relevant trades fields and demonstrate compliance with annual continuing education requirements.
