General Accounting Agent

Your main responsibility will be to perform general accounting - related tasks (account reconciliations and analysis, journal entries, etc.) and support the US and Canadian business units finance teams in the period-end (month-end, quarter-end, year-end) closing.

The General Ledger Agent is part of the General Accounting Team of AtkinsRéalis Finance Shared Service Centre based in Bucharest.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting activities for AtkinsRéalis legal entities
• Prepare bank accounts reconciliations
• Prepare other general ledger accounts reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries based on reconciliation process
• Prepare, analyze and book accruals, overhead allocations and intercompany transactions
• Prepare the sales tax return monthly and other tax related activities
• Ensure that all the net file confirmations via government’s site are being filed in monthly
• Prepare, review and distribute financial reports and analysis as per requests
• Analyze capital expenses and fixed assets, maintain continuity schedules

Requirements

• Fluency in English & Romanian, French knowledge is a plus
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting 
• Process Improvement understanding 
• Good communication & collaboration skills
• Solid understanding of accounting practices and principles
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting/finance
• Experience in financial systems (Oracle, Business Objects, Blackline etc)
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
