Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to co-lead our Credit Analytics team within Global Ratings Services. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on analytical expertise in structured finance, overseeing a team of 30-40 analysts while driving innovation through AI-enhanced analytical workflows. The successful candidate will serve as a key market liaison, foster talent development, and champion analytical excellence in our global ratings operations.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Co-lead a team of 30-40 analysts in Structured Finance, leveraging AI-human analytical workflows to deliver high-quality ratings and client engagement
  • Drive analytical excellence and thought leadership in structured finance products, ensuring best-in-class ratings performance and market insights
  • Serve as key liaison with issuers, investors, and intermediaries, maintaining transparent communication while ensuring compliance with established policies
  • Foster talent development through enhanced employee engagement, career development programs, and strategic training initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Partner with Lead Analysts and Sector Leads to coordinate market outreach initiatives and champion innovation and technological awareness within the team
  • Promote a culture of service excellence and inclusivity, encouraging mentoring, cross-departmental exposure, and empowerment across the organization

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $290,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field with 10+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in structured finance or related asset classes
  • Proven leadership track record with analytical excellence, independence, and objectivity in financial markets
  • Deep understanding of debt markets and strong knowledge of S&P Global Ratings methodologies with relevant industry expertise
  • Strong client and market knowledge with capability to attract, motivate, and lead analytical teams collaboratively
  • Leadership skills with change management aptitude and ability to challenge viewpoints in dynamic environments
  • Excellent operational management, communication, and time management skills with focus on strategy implementation and process improvements

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in finance, business, or related field
  • Prior experience specifically in structured finance products and methodologies
  • Demonstrated success in fostering inclusive team environments and managing multicultural, global teams
  • Track record of innovation implementation and technological adoption in analytical processes


Right to Work Requirements: 

For US candidates, this role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States. 

All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
