About the role

Location: Remote – Preferred Portland, OR Metro, will consider other locations in Pacific Time or Mountain Time zone. Must be willing to work Pacific time zone business hours.

Position Status: Full-time, 40 hours/week

How this role transforms workplaces:

HRIS Specialist is responsible for providing tier II support for all client-facing technology offerings Xenium provides through its HR+Payroll program, including payroll processing and several integrated HRIS modules. This position supports as a technical escalation point for our Payroll, Benefits and HR service teams to resolve and troubleshoot functionality concerns related to payroll processing, reporting, new hire onboarding, timekeeping, benefits enrollment and more. The HRIS Specialist assists with testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data accuracy. Working collaboratively with all service teams is critical to ensure a high level of expertise and knowledge essential to serve Xenium clients. This role is expected to support the day-to-day needs, help identify innovations that enhance current HRIS functionality and support process improvements.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of HRIS systems and processes and effectively apply knowledge and leverages resources to improve efficiency and accuracy in Xenium services.
  • Support new product/feature roll-out and client adoption.
  • Demonstrates understanding of HR/ Payroll data models and application in reporting, integrations, and day-to-day support
  • Utilizes project management skills to efficiently support day-to-day needs while also managing ongoing improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Uses time effectively and efficiently; values time and concentrates efforts on the more important priorities while attending to a broader range of activities. Executes case support and resolution with a sense of urgency.
  • Clearly conveys information and ideas, orally and in writing, to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Adept at determining the processes necessary to accomplish tasks; understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow.

Who you’ll work with:

HRIS, Payroll, Benefits & HR Teams; some client-facing interaction could be needed when troubleshooting

Required experience and skills: 

  • Associate degree (A. A.) with at least 2 years of HRIS experience. PrismHR, payroll, or similar HRIS Platform technical support experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must demonstrate trustworthiness, confidentiality, initiative, and flexibility.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
