Job Duties

Enhance public safety by carrying out the sentences given to convicted felons and misdemeanants in a humane, cost-efficient manner which is consistent with sound correctional principles and constitutional standards.

Provides clerical and administrative support to the Probation and Parole office. Maintains filing systems, copies and distributes materials, and purges inactive files. Performs keyboarding duties, entering data into forms, documents, and agency data systems. Produces administrative reports and correspondences.

Minimum Qualifications

Keyboarding skills, attention to details, demonstrated ability to research, proofreading demonstrated ability; dependable; demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a large office, accuracy essential, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Due to highly confidential nature of work a police record check is conducted on applicants before employment.

Additional Considerations

Experience providing administrative support to include data entry, filing, and other related administrative duties in a professional setting. Recent experience providing customer service in a professional setting. Experience using Microsoft (MS) Office applications. Recent experience using all office equipment in addition to computers and the use of multi-line telephones. post-secondary courses in office administration or training or experience in a related field. Experience with case-management database or an automated database other than MS Office. Administrative experience in a criminal justice, court, or law office setting.
