RESPONSIBILITIES
Help establish departmental goals and effectively communicates direction, objectives, and results as needed to the department, Tippe plant site, and Evonik.
Ensure Performance Planning (PM) and development plans are in place for all reports. Hold reports accountable for successful completion of predefined goals and objectives. Provide mentoring and coaching support for reports throughout the year.
Assign resources as needed both within shift and across shifts to ensure events such as overtime, vacation, and medical leaves are covered as necessary.
Ensure employees are adequately trained to perform their duties. · Responsible for issue resolution and will serve as lead investigators, change owners, and procedure subject matter experts.
Demonstrate ownership of procedures/work instructions.
Manage all areas of an assigned process (quality, safety, environment, equipment, materials, product, etc.) to ensure the business meets timelines.
Be an advocate and champion for change initiatives which can improve current procedures, method, processes, etc. Identify, lead, investigate, and implement changes as necessary.
Ensure practice matches procedure.
Each individual is responsible to meet fundamental cGMP requirements relating to their conduct and work practices to ensure the SISPQ (Safety, Identity, Strength, Purity Quality) of the products manufactured at Evonik Tippecanoe Laboratories.
Adhere to ESHS programs, rules, & procedures.
Assume personal accountability for individual behaviors relates to ESHS activities.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma & 7-10 years of experience.
Associates/Two-year technical degree & 4-7 years of experience.
Bachelors & 2-4 years of experience.
Proven ability to lead a group of people toward common objectives. .
Demonstrate excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge and/or experience with GMPs (preferred).
Must be computer literate and have experience in MS Word, Excel, SAP (preferred).
Ability to focus on continuous improvement and results deployment initiatives.
Accurate and proficient analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-directed, self-managed, reliable, and capable of success with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate and provide good customer service to internal and external organizations.
