The position

 

In this position, you will be responsible for CDC Poland team counting close to 300 colleagues spread across 12 countries, with the hub located in Warsaw. You will lead the CDC Poland Organization Development, People Management, and Clinical Operations Management.
You will be accountable for planning & delivering on assigned trial portfolio across CDC ensuring key trial milestones are met across projects while also ensuring high levels of quality and efficient utilisation of resources.
 

Your job tasks will include:
•    Maintaining high levels of readiness across therapy areas by ensuring adequately qualified & trained staff to deliver on different projects while collaborating cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Medical Management, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, People & Organization, Finance, affiliates management teams and wider regional/international teams
•    Setting up and monitoring the annual goals/KPIs for CDC in correspondence with the regional and global strategic objectives
•    Performing annual organization reviews in CDC and Adjacent Affiliates to gather information about the needs and challenges concerning the everyday clinical operations, develop solutions in close cooperation with CDC management teams and support the implementation of the solutions
•    Driving formal succession & talent review process, coaching other line managers on people management aspects
•    Representation of Novo Nordisk externally, i.e. Investigators Meetings, congresses, health authorities, etc.

 

Qualifications

 

We are looking for a mature candidate who would be fluent in English and has solid experience leading complex clinical operations teams in Pharmaceutical industry or Clinical Research Organization, which must include minimum 5 years of managing other line managers.
Fluent Polish language skills and a university degree in medicine/life sciences are a strong advantage.

 

To be considered for the role, you should also meet the following criteria:
•    Strong track record in clinical trial execution in multifunctional team, including clinical quality (audits and inspections) and training
•    Strong skills in strategic thinking and planning, as you will develop the organization and the ways of working in CDC
•    Ability to deliver ambitious results through others on-time and with high quality
•    Growth mindset, demonstrating strong leadership skills and proven successes in developing others, especially other people leaders
•    Ability to communicate with impact and build relationships with stakeholders from different functions – at affiliate/CDC/regional/global level  
•    Ability to lead through uncertainty, making decisions and implementing changes

 

At Novo Nordisk we encourage cross-functional cooperation, so for this role you should be ready to come to our Warsaw office 3 days/week.

 

About the department

 

CDC Poland established in 2019 as a part of Region South East Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEEMEA) is one of the biggest clinical organisations within Novo Nordisk. We are currently evolving as we are entering new therapy areas and broadening our portfolio of the clinical trails.
CDC Poland as multicountry organization became the backbone in clinical trials for all therapy areas, while leading five adjacent affiliates focusing on growing Diabetes/Obesity portfolio: Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia, and remaining affiliates, which continue existing trials: Bosnia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
