Your Role:
As the Senior Manager, you will report directly to Ivan Zorych, contributing to the success of our stress testing processes and fostering effective communication with federal regulators, business owners, and audit teams. You will navigate the transition from SAS to Python, leveraging your proficiency in both languages. This is not just a technical role; we need someone with a keen eye for presentation, able to articulate results convincingly to a range of stakeholders.
What You'll Bring:
- Expertise: A minimum of 5 years in stress testing, with a focus on banking.
- Technical Proficiency: Practical knowledge of SAS and/or Python, with the flexibility to support models in transition.
- Regulatory Experience: Previous participation in CCAR examinations is a must.
- Communication Skills: Ability to present complex results with clarity and precision.

Undertakes development of quantitative risk modeling methodologies and related strategies with emphasis on the forecasting of stressed losses, determination of key drivers of change, and quantification of overlays where relevant. Conducts all aspects of the model development life cycle for credit stress testing models (wholesale / retail, North / South). Works closely and productively with business and functional stakeholders across the bank including line-of-business leaders, Senior Credit Officers, senior executives in risk and finance, and stress testing implementation teams in both Canada and the US. Conducts associated engagements and establishes credibility with model risk management, regulators, and internal audit. Facilitates innovation through the implementation of modeling approaches and process improvements that can be leveraged across the organization and enhances best practices. Functions in an environment of change effectively and proactively. Communicates challenging technical material to users from a variety of backgrounds clearly, effectively, and with influence.
Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
