Sr. Analyst, Asset Protection

The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and loss prevention efforts across YUM! Brands locations. This role focuses on theft prevention, fraud detection, compliance monitoring, and safety initiatives to protect employees, customers, and company assets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn the fundamentals of security, risk management, and crisis response in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Salary Range: $­­87,100 - $102,500 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Restaurant Safety & Risk Mitigation

• Conduct safety audits and identify hazards to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with YUM! Brands policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in emergency preparedness training and response for incidents such as robberies, natural disasters, and workplace violence.

2. Security & Physical Asset Protection

• Monitor and maintain security systems, including CCTV, alarms, smart safes and access controls to prevent unauthorized access and security threats.
• Partner with security & safety equipment vendors to ensure restaurants have operational equipment

3. Loss Prevention & Safety Program

• Investigate internal and external incidents of crimes, claims and injuries to mitigate losses and reduce risk. Liaison with operations to assist restaurants with security & safety needs.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance to detect and prevent fraud trends, including gift card abuse and refund fraud.
• Help deliver basic asset protection training to restaurant managers and employees.
• Promote a culture of safety and security among restaurant staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1-5 years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, retail security, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, cash handling procedures, and point-of-sale (POS) fraud prevention, and experience conducting internal and external theft investigations.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to travel locally to multiple restaurant locations.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with POS monitoring tools and fraud detection software.
• Understanding of local laws and regulations related to loss prevention and workplace security.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
