Principal Project Manager – CIDO Strategy & Operations
Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota
Work Mode: Hybrid, 3 days onsite
About the Role:
This role is a member of the Chief Information & Digital Office Strategy & Operations team, which is focused on the Strategy, Operations and Culture across the IT, Global Business Services, and Digital Enablement functions. The Principal Project Manager will be a leader and core team member of approved projects in the GBS Commercial Services Portfolio. These projects vary in size and scope but may include supporting business process improvements, service transitions & acquisitions, quality/regulation driven project work, as well as driving strategic and transformational changes. These projects often have a moderate to high level of complexity and visibility throughout the organization.
The Principal Project Manager will be responsible for leading diverse, cross-functional team(s) of professionals to evaluate, design, build, and implement solutions to support the project goals. This role will work collaboratively across various functions, BSC sites, and engage stakeholders to develop the individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver project results.
The candidate needs to be a self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership skills in project, process and/or people management and be able to execute with limited general supervision. Strong technical background and project management skills are highly desired.
Your responsibilities include:
- Effectively lead small to medium project teams ensuring good cross-functional communications and alignment to ensure timely completion of the project or task.
- Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments.
- Implement project plans, build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage, and communicate project risks.
- Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk.
- Drive and influence results by acting with speed, agility, and adaptability, assigning clear authority and accountability while integrating and aligning efforts.
- Courageously lead project teams in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications.
- Enable individual and organizational change by:
- Acting as a change steward by encouraging and adopting new ways of looking at problems, processes, and solutions.
- Engaging global, cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Using effective strategies to create opportunities for information sharing, collaboration, and execution.
- Collaborate with leaders and their organization to inspire a continuous improvement culture by deploying process improvement methods and tools.
